A lot of close games this weekend which is good for the NSCL.
Howe Sound and Vikings took care of business and Nordic and Roma didn't.
It's good to see some message board interest with the Roma loss.

Hats off to Seymour as they were full value for the 3 points. Actaully 3-1 is a generous score line as Roma's goalie was definitely player of the game as it could have been alot worse without him in the pipes. Have to admit losing does suck and we are now in a must win situation. Lucky for us that LV and Nordic tied each other as our group is now wide open with Seymour controling their destiny. Will Seymour be able to knock us off twice in 5 days? What do all you Seymour band wagon jumpers think, as we play them this Thursday? Last league game for us coming up on Thursday going to be tough as we play 3 games in a week.

I'll stay on the Seymour bandwagon for tonights game.
Since your goalie stood on his head conductor, I don't see much changing tonight.
Seymour 4 - Roma 2

I have to say Roma's keeper was sensational on Sunday, really did pull off 5-6 fantastic saves. We managed to put a strong line-up out from the start and got going really quickly. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, if Roma had any subs and wernt missing a few core players it could have been a very different game. But hats off to my lads they worked hard for 90+ minutes and deserved a result. Tonight's game is going to be very different, not to make excuses but like Romna a few core players will be missing due to family and work commitments but we'll still give it our best. And we'll enjoy a cold one after the game Conductor to mark the end of the league season and ur 1st place finish... and hopefully another uposet

Here are my pics
Howe Sound 3 Thunder 1 - This one is closer than you think. HS has barley been winning these days
Roma 2 LV 1 - Roma will have a tough time with LV as they have been playing some good soccer
Seymour 2 Nordic 1 (i mean come on how could you not get on the yellow bandwagon after that solid performance beating up on roma. i think seymour is better in defense and better finishers than nordic) seymour goes up 2-0 and nordic gets one back but thats it. Seymur clinch a spot
Vikings 2 Guardians 0 - Guardians are in it but missing 2-3 keys players to score and get some points on the board

Very very competitive game last night considering it had no impact on the final standings. I think Roma were determined not to lose 2 in a row for the first time in their history. The game was crazy, Seymour going up 2-0 to go into the half conceeding a pk at 2-1. Roma tied it up early in the 2nd half until Seymour went ahead again 3-2 with 10 minutes to go. Then with seconds remaining Roma win a free-kick which was beautifully placed over the wall and in the bottom corner... last kick of the game and a huge sigh of relief for the conductor!
Great game Roma... congrats on winning the league and good luck in the cup, hope to see you in the final for round 4... Roma 1 - 1 - 1 vs Seymour... game 4 decider?

I'M PACKING MY SKIIS FOR SUNDAY'S GAMES. I HAVE IT BLOWING IN FROM THE EAST. THIS WHITE COULD RENDER THE GRASS FIELDS ESPECIALLY MACARTNEY UNPLAYABLE. BUT THE HILLS HAVE SHAPED UP FOR FABULOUS SKIING.

BiggerBalls, just wondering if you will be out in your canoe tomorrow, doing some fishing, or better yet in your life jacket swimming with the ducks? Earl, safe to say that McCartney will be closed tomorrow. The two games at Confed turf will be on and it's 50/50 as to weather Inter River will be open. Most likely a game time decision.
