I am on board with PT17 and Earl. Maybe this could be brought up at the upcoming Manager's meeting? This way all 3 games could be made up right away. As for my picks this weekend
-Gaurdians vs Thunder is a big game in terms of confidence. One team has a great chance to come out of the basement and my pick on that is Gaurdians as this is a team that just deserves a win! Nothing personal against Thunder but Gaurdians show up all the time. - CV United will take care of business and beat up on LV! Game of the week Howe Sound vs Nordic, Nordic has a chance to prove that they are for real a result here would definitely make this league a 4 team race at the top. I do believe that Howe Sound is the team to beat this year and they will win by a field goal on Sunday!!

a voice from the past...
ya know....scheduling a full slate of make up games on an off weekend sounds like a great idea....and every manager will agree with it....then they will hear from their players, and you get 2 or 3 teams that bail. That said, get the games in that you can, and make up the rest on Thursdays.

Just want to say good luck to the Nordic player who was taken away in an ambulance!! I saw the tackle and IMO didn't think it was that bad. From what I heard though the players bone was coming through his arm. A big loss for Nordic as he is a very talented player who is probable gone for the season. Nordic from what I heard was up 1-0 and were dominating the game and unlucky to be only up 1. Howe Sound which again is my opinion is the class of the league did what good teams do and battled back to tie it up. The game was ended 9 minutes early in a tie and this result could favour both CV United and Roma. Huge game next week for CV vs Nordic as I believe Notrdic could be in trouble with a couple of big suspensions and the loss today of a valuable forward!! In the second game Roma got fortunate in a game against a Seymour team who only had 2 subs and pulled out a 4-1 result.

I would like to first apologies to the league for the red card I recieved last week. I would also like to say in defense to my 8 game suspension it was me protecting myself from a punch thrown by a Aztec player that connected to my my face. I have never had a red card in 8 years in this league and playing soccer is something I charish and would never intentionally hurt another player. It seems over and above extreme to receive an 8 game suspension as a player who never gets involved in dirty play and has a great respect for all players in the league. The aztec's have received 15 yellow cards this year and that is well above any other team. All I was trying to do was protect my player on a very dangerous play from behind from the other team. Anyway if the league could reconsider my suspension by a reduction of games I would be very greatful. Let me know how the appeal process works as I am very apologetic and this was a one time reaction that won't happen again. Cheech

Your team manager knows how the appeal process works. Get him to contact the league president.

Anyone from Nordic have an update on your injured player? Hope he's doing OK.

Thank you and I will do that. I again feel terrible for letting my reaction get the better of me. As far as David our player that broke his arm I would imagine he will be out for at least 6 weeks. I'm sure pain killers are helping.

Cheech, I completely agree.... 8 games is ridiculous!
Hopefully the new Prez deals with the appeal process better than previous years or you are up sh*t creek.
8 games... what did you do ? give him a Bertuzzi cheap shot or a Zidane head butt? 8 games is just silly.

I was punched in the face? And Brent was bertuzzied it's only a reaction when you are hit in the face to swing back Ya I admit I'm in the wrong as well but as I see it we have two reds and the Aztec didn't get anything but another yellow? I just want all things equal and fare. First offense in 8 years is an automatic 8 games I thought it would be 4 games as all other leagues give out a 3 game. FIFA is 3 games can anyone tell me why it is different in our league. Just wondering?

Well congrats go out to Bman who was this week's winner in NSCL game picks as he went 2/4. I have mixed emotions over the Gaurdians/Thunder game. I am pretty happy for the Gaurdians to get 10 goals and finally have the chance to lay a beat down on someone as for many years it was usually them taking the big losses in the winter and summer. On the other hand this does the Thunder no good in terms of already defaulting two games and having to start the season against CV and Howe Sound. Hopefully something can get figured out for this team at the Managers meeting tomorrow night. But truth be told this team also needs to get out there and do there own recruiting how ever that may be Livingstone you are the new to the thread but instead of trashing Cheech why don't you instead tell us about LV's big game against CV yesterday. I'm sure more of us would prefer to read that , as your team's record of class already is not deemed that high within the league!! ;D

As far as LV goes, it's nice to see that they are finally competitive. Other than that, there's not too many good things that you can say about them. They're dirty, they're mouthy and do cheap things behind the refs back. The number of yellow cards speak volumes about this teams character. Other than a few players on that team, I wouldn't be very upset if the league moved in a different direction next year and left this team behind......
