I say we play during the Olympics. Its only 2 games. Is anyone going to do anything about that ref that was calling the game between Coveside and NAFC...The game gets out of hand everytime that guy refs. He called a red card against NAFC in the first 5 mins of the game, then missed countless calls (both ways). Both teams could have had 2-3 goals easy but NAFC missed 3 good chances (including 2 lone breaks) in the first 20 mins. Credit to them for playing with 10 guys. Coveside goal was off a deflection and could/should have had at least 1 more if not for a great stop by Kenny and the defence
Good luck to all next round

The games that have been switched to gravel will have a big impact on some teams and their styles of play. A shame to see Nordic vs NAFC go to gravel. Anyways this is what happens when you live on the Wet Coast. My picks this week are
NAFC vs Nordic tie Norvan will win a close one over Vikings Gaurdians with a win over the Warriors can make it a 3 team race in Div 2. Game of the week LV Azteca with a game in hand taking on Malones who were upset last weekend. This game is for first place. I'm taking a tie in this one.

Rastaman, I must give you and Nordic credit, you called an undefeated season and you guys are 3 games away from that. A win next week and Nordic clinches first with two games left in the league. Heard that Nordic dismantled NAFC today 4-1, should be interesting next week with the top two teams going head to head!!!

Welcome back Taffy...thanks!
Wow...big implecations this weekend.
Rastaman and his red eyes is inching closer to his prediction.
Roma knocking off the powerhouse Coveside
Nordic clinching a provincal spot (I think Coveside has as well)
FF from Roma distancing himself for the other in the chase for the golden boot.
A tight race in the A division for the 3rd BC spot
What else?

Vikings 2 - 1 Norvan: In a game that saw 1 first half goal called back and 2 own goals, it was the Vikings that prevailed with a late 2nd half own goal that saw the defender head the ball back to the keeper. Unfortunately, said keeper had left his line to collect the ball bouncing diagonally through the box and despite best efforts, the downhill slope of the north goal happily sped the ball to the point of no return(according to the referee). Vikings had more pressure over 90mins especially going downhill in the 2nd half as Norvan failed to play safe passes given the marginal conditions of Heywood. A tie would have been reasonable but sh*t happens...

Roma won a close game on the weekend.
At halftime they were down 2 - 0 and the fall of Rome looked possible but they live on to march another week with the Vikings on Sunday.
This is the best part of the season because every game has meaning in terms of the top 3.
Have a great week everyone.

Heard Roma are on one year probation for drinking at the field. Can anyone lend any truth to this rumour? Does that mean that nobody else can drink at the pitch as well, or is this only the case for teams that beat Coveside?
Rumour is that there was a NV Rec worker at the pitch who went up to Coveside management and said, "Who are those guys over there drinking beer? Your team is allowed to drink in public, but those guys aren't."
The good news is that there was no NV Rec worker at the pitch. The bad news is that someone from Coveside trying to save face when his bluff was called (in regards to the NV Rec worker filing a report) decided to call NV Rec on his own and complain as a "concerned citizen."
What a complete joke that someone would bring negative attention to our league just because his team lost a soccer game.
It could be worse...he could run the league. Oops...never mind.

Please Note:Not referring to the players of Coveside cause they were a bunch of good guys on the field, but I can't comment on the guys off the field(LOL)

I spent the entire 2nd half on the side of the field..there was no disrespect shown at all. maybe frustration, but none directed at Roma.
don't know if you are joking or not, but the spirit that Cside shows on the field is matched by our manager/coach.

Coveside is a great team to play against... I have never seen any disrespect from these guys.
They are always a tough team to play, good bunch of guys on and off the field!
