Coveside vs Nordic = Coveside got a bit lucky to beat NAFC 1-0 and then dropped a game to the always energetic Roma. Don't think they will beat Nordic. Nordic win 2-0 and clinch #1 spot NAFC vs Norvan = NAFC always has problems with Norvan for some reason but if they have there missing guys back this Sunday which they should I see a NAFC 2-0 win. Having said that I still don't think they will catch Roma for #3 spot and #2 spot is getting out of reach
Roma vs Vikings = Big game for Roma. 3 points ahead of NAFC for 3rd and a whole bunch of goals, I see Roma winning this one 3-0. Can't see Vikings getting scoring more than one goal (if that). A Roma win and Coveside lose would probably put Roma in #2 spot (depending on goal +/-) A Vikings win would help NAFC's chance of getting in the top 3
LV Azteca vs Warriors = 3-1 for LV
Seymour vs Malones = Malones's to win 3-0

" Coveside is good bunch of guys on and off the field!" I would like to take back my comments!
Roma mysteriously has been fined and a given 1 year probation, reading those rumours posted on here earlier in the week which I thought were just rumours and a funny joke have turned out to be true.
This actually happened...and you know exactly who you are you childish prick!
...but then again why am I not surprised with this league? and let me guess, to protest this probably costs what? 200-300 bucks?
So if Roma had lost on Sunday... would this concerned citizen have taken his time on his Sunday afternoon to call this in?
It's a shame 1 guy can give a team such a bad rep! What an embarrassment!!!

PT17,
Well stated. Cside17 has been awfully quiet since his LOST on Sunday. Maybe someone is scouting other potential drinking violators(LOL). Well good luck to all this weekend should be an interesting one.
P.S.- If you are playing against Cside's team either lose if u want to have a beverage after the game or Win and go have a drink at home to be safe.

The only embarrassment in this whole mess is that you morons believe every word that comes out of Conductor's mouth. I tell you, the smear campaign that Roma is running right now makes me think that Conductor aka The Garden Gnome is going to run for the presidents position. God help us all if he gets elected, but that said, people usually get what they deserve.
By the way, if any of you mental giants had bothered to ask, the fine and probation are standard.....ask some of the older Lynn Valley guys, and some of the older Warriors. On the other hand, it sometimes is too much effort to have the facts get in the way of your arguments.

what's happening march 7 to march 28? There is space for 4 games...do we only play 15 games in total and no more or are we playing more games?

Those are just arbitrary placeholders created by me when I posted the schedule. I'm not sure when our field permits run out (I think it's in April).
I have not heard definitively from league executive what the plans are after the Olympics. It could be another round of games or it could be cup play.

Lupoman...maybe you are the moron and mental midget who believes every word that comes out of Cside's mouth. For those keeping score at home, you decide based on these FACTS 1) Cside tells Conductor: "Just so you know, someone from the City was here and saw you guys drinking across the pitch...you'll probably hear about this on Monday and there will probably be a fine." 2) Conductor calls bullshit and says, "But you guys are drinking in public as well" and later adds, "If we're getting fined, we want to see this in writing from the City." 3) The next day, Conductor is forwarded an email from NV Rec noting that an employee from the City saw soccer players drinking on the pitch. NV Rec asks the NSCL what the repercussions are going to be. 4) A Roma FC player who works closely with the NV Rec worker who sent the email, calls her to enquire. He finds out that there was NOT a City worker at the field...that this was only added to the email for effect. He also learns that the complaint was made from someone who called in and left a voice message. These are the FACTS...now you decide for yourself: Did a concerned citizen really call in and complain? Or was it someone (AHEM) who had to save face since Conductor called his bluff? If a neighbour did, in fact, call and complain, my question to the mental giant Lupoman is...what ever happened to this mysterious City worker who was at the park? Did he decide to not file his complaint after all? And how do we know what players this neighbour was referring to since there were people all over the park who were drinking? Maybe Conductor should run for President, since it is apparent that one of our league's "leaders" has no integrity, while the other one is a complete dumbass. You guess which one you are Lupoman.

although most think that our esteemed executive is always out to get them?! usually they do what is in the best intrest of the league...( i said usually) All or any issues can be brought up at league meetings and if voted for in a majority then be put into effect....I thought when i was a newbie(and still am) to the league that nothing went our way(still think that sometimes)...some of the teams have had decades of history within the league seemed to get "better" treatment or so i thought. guys from roma sound pissed but this is probably not the way to go about it. Get your issues in order and try and get a few of the other managers/teams on your side and go about it that way...you might not get the vote you were looking for... but slowly but surley you will gain respect within the league..both on and off the field..just my 2 cents cause this thread is no longer about soccer ..
ps. in no way was this an ass kissing post to earn favour within the league..i was mentored by the evil Wayne M and have at least 10 years before his past will be forgotton and my regime can begin..good luck to all this weekend

Lupoman ... if we really got busted by a city worker or a citizen I would keep my mouth shut.
But by some crazy fluke Roma got picked out with all the teams at the field that day... what a big fuckin coincidence... do the math... it's not a tough one to figure out!

My picks this week
LV over the Warriors Malones inches closer to the title in Div 2 with a win over Seymour NAFC over Norvan Game of the week Coveside vs Nordic. If Rosie has all the Tequila out of his system he alone could be the difference. Nordic knows with a win they clinch the title. I believe Nordic can taste the beers/champagne now and will win a close one over Coveside.
As for the the other stuff going on Roma is in fact very happy to be a part of this league!! Alot of good teams are in it and we enjoy the competition. As for me trying to start a smear campaign this is offside as a comment as I don't in any way want to be on the board. For the most part as Bushi stated I respect everything that the three exec's do for the league.

Congrats to Rastaman and Nordic for clinching the league today. Heard this game could have gone either way but Nordic's GK was the difference which he has been all year! With NAFC's win today looks like game of the week next weekend is Roma vs NAFC in terms of sercuring that 3rd spot with a chance at BC's!! NAFC looked very strong today. As for Roma they were lucky today against a very much improved Vikings team. If Vikings had the line up today they had out all year they would be contending for a top 3 spot!!!

Congratulations to Nordic for winning it all...great season! a bit lucky but have to be good to be lucky!!! Now the battle heats up for #2 and #3...Roma and Coveside at 28 points and NAFC at 25 with 2 games left. Even if Nafc ties roma and beats vikings, roma will still make it becasue then the last game for roma would not mean anything because the worst they could finish is 3rd. This depends what coveside does but, I don't see coveside losing to norvan. With that being said i see it hard for nafc to make it unless they win 2 games and roma / coveside lose their last
My top 3 Nordic Roma Coveside
