LV Nordic, tough match rough weather (hailstorm) the crossbar and goal posts kept LV in the game.
Our game ball disappeared (MLS whitecaps blue white addidas) Lynn Valley would appreciate it if someone found it and returned it some future time. Griffen is the worst for balls lost at night. beer reward. Thanks.

Now that the Flying Horses are in the league, I'm sure the Antifan will soon follow. Your ball is as good as found!!

Last weeks game Nordic vs flying horses Nordic came with 12 guys ready to play and for the first 35 mins had more chances and it looked like it could of Even been an upset but the the horses have some great skill on the team and finally put it past our new keeper. Second half again it looked about even and with about 5 mins left they converged on a redirect and made it 2 nothing. Great Goal keeping on both ends of the field. Can't wait to play them again. Thanks for the good times.

Good game at kinsman tonite. Horses beat norvan 7 to 4. Back and forth all game. 2 to 2 at half. Difference in mind was that horses had stronger bench and could afford to make 5 or 6 subs with quality players.

Agreed. Your deep bench was a killer. Fun game though. I think Notty needs to work on his shot

Flying Horses game last night against Thunder was a roller coaster. Horses went up 3 nothing in first half, could have been 5 or 6 but Thunder goalie stood on his head!!! Thunder clawed their way back to tie it up. Then a fluky goal bounced over the head of Thunder keeper and Horses scored one more.
Reminded me of my old days playng for the North Shore Indians lacrosse club - little chippy at the end and the crowd yelling at the opposition team - only difference this time is that I was on the opposition team!! Good times - great group of guys on Thunder!

Just looking at the Standings, and wondering what happened to the '3 point deduction' per team for Norvan and Howe Sound? I thought they were both deducted points and fined for entering the field before they should have. Did they appeal? Does the fine money go to the League Winner's Beer Fund??? Just curious.

JAGS Standings on the League Site get changed from last night's games, but still no comment on NorSoundgate aka HoweNorgate aka Scaregirlsofffieldgate. Is this under appeal, or have the point deductions been rescinded, or did the Norvan's dog get put down so it would not run on the field again? I would hope it is not the latter, as those of us at The Flying Horses are animal lovers. League Exec, the voting public would like to know. JAGS

I believe only fines were levied. No points deducted. Future infractions could result in the loss of the turf fields.
PS - I didn't think anyone posted on this board anymore!!

I believe only fines were levied. No points deducted. Future infractions could result in the loss of the turf fields. PS - I didn't think anyone posted on this board anymore!! "I believe" So the email received by all Teams that read: The League Executive has decided to impose the following disciplinary measures;
[glow=red,2,300]Both Norvan and Howe Sound will be deducted 3 points[/glow]
Howe Sound will be fined $100. Norvan will be fined $200, and a further $50 for having a dog on the field. Norvan having the bigger transgression of the rules, therefore the larger fine
Both teams are on probation for the remainder of the Summer season. Any further infractions will result in loss of AT privileges........ really means nothing, and the penalties are just veiled threats and not upheld as they were handed down. If the penalties were appealed, then I've got no problem with that, but the Teams in the league have no idea what has happened. What happened to transparency? Does this not impact CV United and possibly Seymour on where they finish in the League and cup placement? As for 'nobody' being on this forum ........... there are a few 'lurkers'. More than most people would realize.

That I know of, the teams were told to stay off the actual lined field until 7:50pm. We had to ask the field hockey players to exit at 7:58 as they seemed destined to keep playing all night if we didn't ask. If it's the league's directive to the teams to not even enter the fenced area of the field until 7:50 then I would ask where exactly they expect us to warm up?? The grass surrounding the field long and unplayable, muddy hills and a construction site??? Either move the start time back to 8:15 so teams can warm up and avoid injuries or create a more realistic understanding with the field hockey teams using the field that we are there to simply warm up in the corners..... How grown men 20-30 yards away are intimidating is beyond me. It's a shared facility, perhaps others should learn to share a little better.
That's my 2 cents..... Great game between HS and WV tonight, some interesting action at both ends of the pitch. Would be a fun rematch if these teams met in the playoffs.

Yes..both LEI and Guardians had to forfeit their last regular season games.....however with all due respect to both LEI and Guardians, it was very unlikely that they would have come away victorious. In all probability the results would have been the same....my two cents worth.

Good luck to all teams in playoffs. Thanks to nscl for allowing us in the summer league. Great group of people who like to have fun on and off the pitch. For the last game that was forfeited by LEI - class guys to let us know. I know thee are teams in the vmsl that forfeit without talking to other teams or players. See u all next summer - I am at the British Open this week then the Olympics !
Cheers.
