Nordic 6 - 1 Seymour Except for a couple of "classy" comments during the match, the game was played in fairly good spirit. We (Nordic) went up 1-0 after 10 mins or so, on a deflected shot from Tee from the 18-yard box. Seymour tied it up a few minutes later after the ball bounced off our goalie, back into a stricker and defender feet. Our defense tried to clear the ball and toe-punted it square in Leitzy's nose, bounced back again and a great ballerina/kung fu move by Seymour's midfielder put the ball in net: 1-1 After a couple of minutes down, Leitzy came back to life and was ready to play. For thoses who haven't noticed yet, check out his pipes, P90X DOES work Doesn't seem to help when you get a ball square in the face though. 30 mins or so in the game and Uncle Teddy made some wise substitutions, including one of our new signee Phil. After being on the field for about 21 seconds, Phil ran to the 6-yard box to receive a cross from the left, and scored a Duzzi without even touching the ball. Now, let me explain what is a Duzzi. I believe a few of you guys might be new here, wondering what the f*** I am talking about, so here it is. A Duzzi is a goal that is scored by a team in its own net (aka "own goal"). The difference being that an "own goal" is usually labelled as such and nobody claims it. A couple of seasons back, one individual (that I wouldn't dare naming) had a tendency to claim these goals. Since then, it is common practise within our League message board to refer to these as Duzzi(s). For more information, I would recommend a little visit to Coveside's game reports! Shortly before the half, a nice tic-tac-toe play led to a 3-1 lead (Davie from Tim) The second half was mostly controlled by Nordic with a few chances from Seymour. We scored 3 more goals in the second half, and if it wasn't for Seymour's keeper, the score would have been a little bit higher. Note: - Ron managed to more than triple his play time from last season (in a single game). - Andy 3:16 didn't get a red card on his first game of the season (neither did Cleefff from what I read)

Malones 4 Warriors 0 ...Warriors need to work on their fitness...and eat fewer doughnuts Nordic 3 Roma 2 ...after some good pickups in the off season, Nordic look poised to win some big games Vikings 4 LV Azteca 1 ...experienced Vikings wallop the hotheads Guardians 1 Norvan 3 ... too much for the Guardians to handle Coveside 3 NAFC 3 ...I give this MOTW honours. Haven't seen NAFC this year, but if they resemble last year's team this will be a battle of the bulging managers

It should be interesting to see how Roma looks agaist Nordic. Roma lost a few players over the summer and played a decent game against the Gaurdians. This game will show what kind of season Roma will have. It should hopefully be a good game.
Pics Malones 3 - Warriors 1 Vikings 3 - Lynne Valley 2 Guardians 1 - Norvan 3 Coveside 2 - NAFC 2
Good luck to all...

So tell me please...how did you get rid of the bad apples? Please clarify. Also, tell me spqr, how was it that Roma played a 'decent' game against the Guardians and only won 4 - 0. And who did Roma lose this summer? A couple of their goal scorers I hope.

Rastaman:
I would think most teams feel they can play better this week than they did in the first week wether they won or lost.
Roma last six guys from last years roster(goal scorers included).

6 guys. Was the league "too easy" for them and decided to join Sir M's team?
Can we have a League/Team Bad-Apple wishlist and ask cside17 to implement?
