Some big games this weekend. First off can Seymour build on their huge victory last weekend?
My picks this week are -LV are in shambles this year and hopefully will be able to get some players and make an appearance at a game or two this year. Unfortunately I don't see that happening this weekend. Nordic continues to pick up points and stay in the hunt for top spot in the league. - Seymour has a chance to continue their win streak against the Guardians. Gaurdians though always battle in each game and I have a funny feeling that this game ends up in a tie. Vikings vs Thunder should be entertaining as the Thunder got slapped last week after a 2 game win streak. Meanwhile Vikings are coming off their first victory of the season. With Vikings bruising center back able to play again this weekend look for the Vikings to come out Storming over the the Thunder.

NSCL 2011/12 Season Nov 24 9:00pm Griffin CV United 5-1 Roma
That was the last time Roma had lost in this league. Pretty impressive run, but like anything in life all good things/times must come to an end. Give credit to Howe Sound as they where definitely up for the game and ready to go. We scored first and had a few chances to be up by a couple. We missed and HS never stopped working. Both of their goals came from there style of never giving up on the ball today. IMO I thought we were deserving of at least a point but it wasn't meant to be. Mind you in our streak we have been fortunate a few times to get the points. A few times last year LV Azteca had us on the ropes only for them to shoot themselves in the foot by taking dumb red cards and allow us back in to the game! Since the Vikings have gotten their big man back in the line up, things have turned around for them. Nordic continues to ride along under the radar but they continue to win and get it done. We will see this up coming weekend if Roma can move on and start a new streak??

That's a very impressive run indeed Roma! But like you said every streak must come to an end eventually, credit to Howe Sound for winning what sounds like a very difficult competitive match. Also credit to Nordic for getting a point out of their tie with Howe Sound last week, looks like there's 3 contenders at the top finally. Big props to spqr for a clean sweep, 4 for 4 and almost 2 perfect scores! Appreciate the faith in Seymour to avenge previous bad outings against the Guardians... a very satisfying 3 pts and hopefully the start of more things to come!
I'm gona do this early and for the first time as a new memeber of the froum; my predictions for this weekend:
Vikings 2 vs 4 Seymour (this will be a tough contest and will probably decide 4th place) . Nordic 5 vs 1 Guardians (Nordic look on fine form and will continue against a low confidence Guardians) . Roma 7 vs 1 Thunder ( Thunder had a few good results but Roma are just too strong in attack) . LV Azteca 0 vs 5 Howe Sound (Howe Sound stay at the top and probably will until they meet Roma again)

thunder 1 Nordic 5 (Nordic barley lost to roma last game and continues the good run of form)
Seymour 2 roma 4 (has roma slowed down? coming off a loss and a slim win versus Nordic. I still think they get the job done this weekend but not comfortably)
HS 0 Vikings 0 - Yup i'm calling a tie
Guardians 2 LV 3

Roma is falling apart... Rumor has it, there was a huge fight in their clubhouse.
If it wasnt for their goalie, Nordic could have taken down the Romans with ease.
... end of an era for the handsome italians?

The Roma situation makes sense to me, you can't be on top forever. If you look at the NSCL in the past, this happens to all the top teams eventually.

Well done Earl as you called the HS vs Vikings result. Spqr you are also correct. " you can't be on top forever." This is now Roma's 6th yr in the league. We have played a total of 80 league games up to last week included. Our record sits at 57 wins 11 ties and 12 losses. Goals for 301 and goals against 107. A tidy 182 points out of a possible 240 pts. This total does not include the NSCL Champions cup games or Kilby cup games. I personally would have no problem if this is the kind of record that "happens to all top teams eventually".
