Earl, I'm liking your picks, I think you have a good shot at taking this weeks pool. I also like how you took an upset of the week, just to make things interesting!! ;D

-LV 2 Guardians 0 (assuming LV has enough bodes to play the game)
-Thunder 2 HS 2 (yes its gonna be a tie. Thunder pumped for opener)
-CV 3 Seymour 0 (CV just has too much)
-Roma 3 Nordic 1 (Romans have the best strikers in the league and that will save them)

Nordic vs Roma, Nordic was there by 9am with their net already up and most of the team already dressed and warming up. Have to admit this was pretty intimadating at how organized Nordic looked before the game. The Romans on the other hand with just one practice together under their belt and guys rolling in at 9:30, I thought it was going to be one of those games were we take a beat down. Nordic had 6 or 7 subs well Roma had 2subs and as a team are definitely out of shape. To Roma's advantage Nordic did not have their regular keeper in net and unfortunately for Nordic this cost them any results on the day!! Also heard that Teddy has resigned , and this will be a big loss not only to Nordic but also the NSCL, as he has contributed lots over the past 2 decades to this league!!

Congrats to begi and Earl who were this week's co-winners on their weekly predictions. They both went 3-4. My picks for this week are
-Seymour vs Nordic should be a great game, both teams will be looking to get a result and put some points up in the standings. I'm going to go with Nordic in this one. - CV vs Thunder, I feel sorry for the Thunder as they have been welcomed into the Coaches winter league with two of the hardest games they could have asked for from the scheduler. Not a bad result last week against HS, but unfortunately this week won't change as the Thunder will fall to 0-2 after CV welcomes them into the league.
Game of the week -Howe Sound vs LV, a battle of two teams who are undefeated. I'm going to go with Howe Sound by a 3 goal margin, as HS will go to the top of the table early in the season!

Well just wanted to welcome the new people on the message board. Glad to see that there will be some more competition with our weekly picks asides from Earl, begi and I. Don't know if this will help me out with my picks, but I also like it when there's more competition! ;D
Does anyone from LV have any info on the Gaurdians? How did the game go against them on Sunday? I know the score line but did LV get lucky or was Gaurdians short some players!

Guardians full team of 16 players , LV 1 extra sub. LV and Guardians a rusty start from both sides, first half nil nil and the second half some good chances from guardians 3/4 of the field but no a real threat....LV scored about the hour mark and from that point on it was all LV, final score 3-0.....PS: parra as usual the center of attention LOL

Roma vs Guardians, Roma was fortunate to get as many as they did. The game was 1-0 for Roma, when Guardians lost probably their main guy to a knee injury I believe. With him out of the line up things changed in favour of Roma. Man of the match was Guardians goal keeper as he was definitely on fire and made numerous saves in this game! CV have picked up some new players and I would say it's going to be bewtween CV and Howe Sound this year!!
