Howe Sound 1 - Guardians 0 Howe Sound had multiple opportunities to make this a blow-out but couldn't put the biscuit in the basket. Guardians worked hard for 90 minutes, never quit.

Should have mentioned, Guardians goalie made some incredible saves including one while lying on his back on the goal line.

CV 2- 0 over Nordic. Nordic still has pace and can play some good ball. Totally enjoyable to play on a day in the sun..... Looks like Roma did some serious butt-kicking. That's a lot of goals - 11 total - in one game.

Congrats to mickster on being last weeks sports action winner on your NSCL picks of the week, as you went 4/4. bman is still in the over all lead as he has been pretty consistent over his 4 weeks of making picks!! Game of the week this sunday IMO is Howe Sound vs Norvan. Norvan has been on a little bit of a roll with their only loss being the first game of the season. While Howe Sound has yet to concede any points and remain perfect so far!! Another big match up is the battle of the Latino's as both teams will want bragging rights on this game!! If LV can get enough players out and have a few subs they will have a chance. Guardians always have numbers and by the looks of it have been unlucky thus far in not getting a point or result!

Again the great communication of this league sends chills through my spine. As for the webpage not being up dated, I recall at the managers meeting that everything (scores, standings, schedule, golden boot and discipline) would be updated by mondays after every round of games. Possibly I will even say by no later than tuesday. Today is October 21, well the web page states last up dated Oct 7th.

Really? Thats it? That's what's got your knickers in a knot? Not sure about the golden boot totals, but the only thing that I could see that is not up to date, is the banner that says when the last update was, and the fact that the two players that got 2 yellows in a game, thus giving them a red, did not have a return date beside them. But we all know that 2 yellows in a game equals 1 red card, and that a red card in this league is a 2 game suspension and a $50 fine. We can even make a simple mathematical equation to demonstrate. Let's assign a yellow card the value "A". And lets assign a red card the value "B". Things that we know are, 2 yellows in a game equals a red, and that a red equals a 2 game suspension and a $50 fine.
so we have; A= yellow card B=red card 2 yellows = 1 red card 1 red card = 2 game suspension and $50.....
Thus, we come up with the equation; A + A = B or simplified,
2A = B
So we can therefore draw the correct conclusion that 2 yellow cards in 1 game is in fact a 2 game suspension and a $50 fine. I hope this clears things up for everybody.

Well, there were no games Oct 9 so really all we're missing is the data from the Oct 16 games. And I will add that we cannot update the pages if we do not have all the info. We are still waiting on referee reports and/or info from some games. I suppose I can post what I have but I'd rather try to get everything for the week first.
And, really, is it that important?

Lupoman,
I believe it is a minimum expectation of the League Executive to keep the Discipline page up to date. We do not receive any other updates from the league on cards or suspensions. Names of the offenders & dates they are eligible to return should be available for all Managers to review weekly to see how it affects their upcoming match. Referee reports should be in on a timely basis so as to update the Discipline page prior to the next week's play. I don't think your flippant response about yellows & reds was constructive coming from a League official.
I am sure we can live with the late updates on goal scorers although the League did assure us that they would be on top of all info this year. Let's try to run this League efficiently, I think this is an issue several teams and managers have tried to raise unsuccessfully & has contributed to some players and teams looking esewhere to play.
I'm sure this will come up at the upcoming manager's meeting.

Ahhhhhh looking from the outside in....A red card for a professional foul or yellow card accumulation ..is 2 games sure....the game you were playing in and the next scheduled game...In every league whether is be professional or amateur it is dealt with this way....haha never seen someone sit the game he was kicked out from and the following 2 games??? ...doesn't matter if it happened 1 min mark or 89 min...player is kicked from game playing in and sits next game..so if I'm correct?! and thanks to lupoman cause he made sure that 1+1 = 2
there are way to many grey areas that managers need to make themselves aware of or at least bring to the table in your next league meeting.
I agree with trapper that the executive should probably represent itself better to posts here. no matter how hard it might be to bite your tongue your representing a/the league and should not follow up player/member posts with belittling and sarcastic posts. either give a concise and clear explanation or ignore and let us hooligans talk shite and embarrass ourselves here...

....even its rec soccer... FIFA is tha mandate that we follow as a league?S? and haha in world cup the yellows don't even have to be in the same game?!?! but the suspensions are the same...miss the following game....haha I'm not on anyone's side here especially our friend the garden gnome.....but he has a point..and one of his players will miss an unnecessary game because of it........anyway good luck to all the "recreational" teams out there why even bother playing?!.....just shake hands and have a pint.....
