well I was going to bring my hightop rugby cleats and then I was thinking my rubber golf boots but now with this aerial river I am almost convinced hip waders are the way through these northshore bogs. I heard the McCartney creak has washed out the goal line so you'll have to realign and re-line the field oriented north-south. inter river 5 drains well i just hope we get to play. don't forget clocks ahead. just when we thought we'd get our games in for the season the November rains catch up.

Biggerballs if you weren't wearing your hip waders you probably would have had 2 goals and won the game, as Roma had no business getting all 3 points yesterday. The crazy thing is Pool A is the Group of Death and every team on that side still has a chance to advance to the "A" semi's. The A side definitely has no give me games like what's going on over in the "B" Pool. Heard that Nordic was also outplayed by Seymour but were fortunate to get an own goal with less than 5 minutes left to get an important 3 point and also take control of the group.

Conductor... FYI... shots on goal were about 15 to 1 for Nordic. Outplayed? Not the game I saw. See you next week...

The boring
Howe Sound 1 Vikings 1 - not that it matters as both teams are through
Thunder 2 Guardians 1
Howe Sound and Vikings go through
The interesting
Seymour 1 LV 1 - Yes it will be a tie
Roma 4 - Nordic 1
Roma and Nordic go through

Sweet math Earl! A Seymour tie and Nordic loss puts Seymour and Roma through. Definitely the more interesting of the two groups though. All 4 teams are playing good D heading into the last weekend.

yes last week was a bit of a downer for the aztecas after battling roma hard only to loose by an own goal in the final 10 minutes. oh well if you don't capitalize on your chances you can't win. I'm calling a long shot lv over Seymour by 2-3 goals. (whatever we need to advance). although Seymour has been playing some quality soccer LV is over a few injuries and actually has subs. you must remember LV's been struggling for numbers for most of the season. Actually it was last year this time a few LV players messed up drinking green beer till 4 and showed up late against howesound . I'm hoping some of the Seymour group gets into the grog hard tonight. the other advantage for LV is the field has been changed to Sutherland. Nordic and Roma tie.

I'm changing my pic Nordic and Roma tie 1-1 Earl you were bang on in your prediction. Biggerballs also a very good call on your part. I'll be honest here Roma is very fortunate to be going through on the "A" side and this would never have happened if it wasn't for LV Azteca. The week before when they definitely out chanced us, LV ends up being kind and good old Cliff ends up scoring an own goal with less than 10 minutes to go and help us attain the 3 points and much needed head to head victory. Than on Sunday LV does the unthinkable and goes out and beats Seymour for us to help us advance. Thinking back to our game vs LV I believe it was the hot dogs, cerveza's and some good laughs we shared with them after our game against them that helped with our bond! :)I'm not to sure what happened to Seymour as they had a solid 2 games in 5 days against us and I honestly thought they would be the team winning our group. As for the hottest team in the league there is no doubt that the Vikings are a machine to be reckoned with right now. When was the last time any team has scored 4 goals against Howe Sound?? The Vikings had 3 in the first 15 minutes and 4 in the first half before they took their foot off the gas pedal. I'm not looking forward to playing against their new look and vaunted offensive attack this weekend and to make things worse we have to play against the Vikings back to back, so hopefully this up coming game doesn't have the same shennagins as the last one vs them otherwise Roma won't have any players for the rematch?? As for Howe Sound, offense has never been their strong point but they have always been the best defensively. Hopefully they can figure it out for this weekends show down with Nordic.

wow 19 goals in 3 matches our leagues on par with the EPL. Its unfortunate Seymour and guardians got the late night shuffle.
From what Ive gathered Jay brought out his nephew's team to give the old aztecas a lesson in youthful fitness. no subs and 2 own goals had the Aztecs down early. Thunder management had a hard time giving all 17 players enough playing time to make it worth their while. Thunder and LV share some common traits just like the capilano river and lynn creek sometimes its a raging flood other days its a trickling stream. Well one cup spilt but the bigger ones up for grabs this weekend. I'm going out on a limb and writing LV on the Jim Lowe cup. On the flip side how about those spankings on the other side. I may have to watch the Nordic Roma battle for supremacy.

I may have to watch the Nordic Roma battle for supremacy. Wow Biggerballs talk about going out on a limb, more like a big THUD. As James came by the Howe Sound vs Nordic game pretty happy bragging how Thunder would be playing for two Cups. They should be happy, as they don't say much and they just show up and take care of business. James mentioned that the only Cups, LV would be signing would be jock straps that is if LV could even get enough guys out to field a team. That one made the Roma boys laugh. He then topped it off by telling Frank he scored a hat trick vs LV as he was going to get credit for all 3 goals scored yesterday. He also asked us why there wasn't a Golden Boot for Cup play as he felt he had a good shot at winning it this year, ha ha. As for the Nordic/ Howe Sound game credit goes out to Howe Sound as they battled hard and overcame the beating they took the week before to Nordic by winning a solid 1-0 performance. Howe Sound will be competing in it's 3rd Kilby Cup final in the last 4 years which is pretty impressive. As for the Vikings they also came out and took care of business, as they lost one of their better players to a red card about 20 minutes into the game on an ugly elbow to the face of a Roma player. In saying that they showed some great character and battled hard right till the end. Good Luck to Seymour and Guardians this Thursday and Biggerballs will see you out at the Champions League Cup final with Nordic playing Roma
